If you have a 3DS and you haven’t updated your system, now’s the time!  Nintendo just [officially] released the new system update yesterday, and there’s a ton of cool new features to check out!

I’d be lying if I said I’ve tried out EVERY new feature in the update.  But I have checked out most of it and I am liking what I see!  My favorite update features:

• Streetpass Mii Plaza Update!  There is a sequel to the original game with new dungeons, new enemies and a TON of new hats to earn!
• New puzzle pieces for Puzzle Swap!
• There’s 3D video now… but I admit I haven’t tried that part out yet.  As soon as I have a video to share, I’ll post it here!  🙂
• Nintendo Zone is now active!  This most likely will be an outlet for commercials and coupons, but currently it’s hosting a Pokemon and a Super Mario trivia quiz.  Pretty cool!  My high score for the Pokemon Quiz was 29,183!  What’s yours?

Supposedly there was an update to the eShop as well, but I didn’t notice anything different.

Now for a bit of melancholy news.  As it’s now December, NOA released the final item in the Gold Series in ACCF.  This is the last DLC we might EVER get in this game.  It makes me kinda sad… the reign of ACCF is just about over.  Until the new AC3DS game comes out!  Whenever that is.  I have my doubts about an early January release date, as I originally thought.  There’s been zero announcement about it, so I’m not holding my breath.  I just hope it’s soon!  So it’s time to check out Squirt’s golden room, complete with every item from the Gold Series.

So long Squirt!  Most likely I won’t be playing much of this game anymore.  We had a good run!  Squirt almost collected everything in the game.  I left his wishlist up on the sidebar in case anyone wants to send me a missing item… but I don’t really care anymore, which also makes me sad lol!  Oh well, here’s to a new era in Animal Crossing… coming soon to 3D!
