Labor Day

This past Monday was Labor Day!  Most people don’t have to work on this holiday.

Sadly for me, I had to work at 8 AM.  But I knew my Japanese buddies were going to want to come by and pick up some extra Picnic Baskets (yep, that’s the item Tortimer was giving out for this holiday).  So I opened my gate bright and early at 7:30 AM.

I didn’t wait more than a minute before ちょこまる and オレンジ burst through the gates!

It seems that ちょこまる has been busy like me, not playing AC as much and lost his tan.  Not so for オレンジ!  He still had a lingering tan.  I was a bit jealous.  They were both still rocking the Ladder Shades I got for them a while ago.  Guess they are all the rage in Japan!  I showed them to the Town Hall (tho I’m pretty sure they know where it is by now…) to talk to Tortimer.  I figured it would be better if the mayor explained to them what this holiday was about.

I might have been half-asleep, but that didn’t stop me from taking a moment to play a prank on that crusty old turtle!  I still have a ton of fireworks laying around so I decided to seize the moment.  Grabbing a sparkler, I quickly positioned myself to give old Tortz a nice burn on the butt!  MUAHAHHAHAHA!

That was all the hijinks we could get into, because I had to go to work.  Boo.

CORRECTION: In a previous post, I mentioned that all the big scary bugs would be gone now that it’s September.  I’d like to correct my statement – MOST of them are gone.  The Scorpions are still alive and thriving this month!  I was bit by one the other night.  I also didn’t know that Scorpions could jump off cliffs.  There’s apparently plenty I need to learn about Scorpions lol!

Finally, one last thing I’d like to mention.  Victoria will soon be leaving us.  She’s all packed, so I assume that means she was able to find a new house in some other town that suits her.  I will miss you, Vicky!  But it’s time to let this race horse run free…

Bye Bye Vicky!
