Week of 3/24 – 3/30
Happy Birthday Ri-Rii!
On 3/24, Wasabi celebrated the first townie Birthday of the year! The lucky Birthday Girl was Ri-Rii, who sent out invitations to her Birthday Party about a week in advance. Mayor Neko, of course, was in attendance (albeit fashionably late). When the Mayor arrived, Ri-Rii and King were dancing up a storm. Mayor Neko gave Ri-Rii a wrapped bonzai tree. Decorations at the party included a large Happy Birthday sign, and a delicious Birthday Cake set up! Mayor Neko stated, “The party was a blast! It makes me very excited for my own birthday coming up in April!” Is she dropping a hint?
PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE
As promised, the Wasabi Town Clock’s construction has been completed! Shizue rounded up the townies to admire the latest Public Work project. The new Town Clock features a classic Japanese design, and is located right next to the Town Hall. Once the celebration was over, Mayor Neko quickly arranged for the next Public Works project: a Japanese Style Street Lamp. The projected completion date is 4/1, look for photos of the Street Lamp in the next issue of the Wasabi News!
GRACIE GRACE EMBARRASSES MAYOR
Maybe it was an early April Fool’s prank, maybe it wasn’t… but the famous Fashionista/Designer Gracie Grace was in Wasabi on 3/25 and made short work of making our beloved Mayor Neko look like a major fool. Gracie demanded to see a “crazy” outfit for the fashion evaluation. Not knowing exactly what constituted a “crazy” themed outfit, Mayor Neko ordered items from the Clown and Mummy costumes that she had in her catalog. She didn’t want to go hat-less, so she chose a random purple alien-looking hat. Apparently this was not sufficient for Gracie. After Mayor Neko was seen parading around in this ridiculous attire, Gracie then gave the Mayor a public evaluation. While Mayor Neko didn’t quite understand what Gracie was saying, the Mayor had a definite feeling of being made the butt of a joke. The Mayor received no gift at the end of the evaluation, leading her to believe that not only did she make a fool of herself in this outfit, she had also failed the evaluation. It’s bad enough to bruise the Mayor’s ego, but without 3 positive evaluations by Gracie, the Wasabi Department Store will never be upgraded!
NEW CAMPUS DLC AVAILABLE
The latest installment of Campus DLC has been released via a letter from Nintendo. This new furniture item looks kind of out of place. It’s a giant sized [non-Wite-Out-brand] Correction Tape. It doesn’t have the Campus brand on it, but surely it must be of the same brand. The color doesn’t really match the rest of the set that’s been released. But it’s always good to be able to erase mistakes written in pen, right? What’s next, a pen-holder desk lamp? Only time will tell.
MAYOR NEKO RECEIVES GOLDEN AXE
A happy Mayor Neko was seen sporting a very coveted tool on 3/27. Apparently she had been rewarded by the Garden Shop for her constant patronage with a Golden Axe! Word on the street is that you need to buy a tree at the Garden Shop every day for 60 days. After 60 trees have been purchased, you are given a Gold Axe. The Gold Axe is a very useful tool, as it will never break, no matter how many trees you chop down!
