Week of 3/17 – 3/23

Mayor Neko Funds Town Hall Remodel

After over a week of fundraising, Mayor Neko finally saved up enough bells to pay for the remodel of the Town Hall.  She opted for the traditional Japanese style, since this is a Japanese town in a Japanese game.  In fact, all future public works that have the option to be in a Japanese theme will be chosen for Wasabi.  Regardless, the townies are all ecstatic to see the new architecture, and many of them came out to the inauguration of the newest Public Work.

PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE

Once the Town Hall remodel was completed, it was back to business for Mayor Neko.  She opted to start construction on a smaller project, this time a Japanese-style Town Clock will be built later this week.  Check the next issue of the Wasabi News for more info.  In addition, lots of strange, new options in the Public Works menu have popped up.  Any ideas as to what these things are should be fowarded to the editors of the Wasabi News.

NEW CAMPUS DLC AVAILABLE

Once again, another weekly installment of the Campus DLC Series has arrived via a letter from Nintendo.  The newest DLC is the matching Campus DLC flooring.  Different from the simple lined wallpaper, the flooring is a collage of the Campus brand notebooks.  It looks pretty cool.  Mayor Neko proudly displayed the latest DLC in her still-under-construction DLC Room.

MUSEUM UPDATE

Another stroke of luck for the Wasabi Museum!  Mayor Neko recently donated yet another legitimate artwork to the Museum this week.  This profile portrait looked very familiar to her, so she scooped it up from Crazy Redd and hoped for the best.  Blathers was impressed and promptly displayed the newest exhibit.  The Wasabi News reports that the Museum is still waiting to discover that last Dinosaur Egg fossil.  Any donations are welcome!

FINALLY, A STREETPASS!

There has been some recent action in the StreetPass Plaza of Wasabi.  On 3/23, Mayor Neko discovered not one, but TWO new people hanging out in the Plaza, waiting to move in.  The Mayor was, of course, elated and welcomed them both with open arms.  Or maybe she was TOO friendly…?  After greeting the two new boys and touring their well decorated homes, she ordered a few items from their Catalogs for herself.
